    WEA Germany press-release:
"'Lifelines' will be one of the musical highlights of 2002 - and not only for true a-ha fans."

    Morten Harket:
"I could feel that we had a different kind of energy, this time. It was a lot of fun to work on this CD. We're back where we started, we are enjoying ourselves again. We're really having fun!"

    Magne Furuholmen:
"The recording cost of this album blows all previous budgets to hell."

"... the album turns out, it will hopefully reflect that there is a lot of ambition! Besides, personally I feel that I have written my best songs ever."

    Pal Waaktaar-Savoy:
"That was expensive and strenuous. But this way we really have created a very multi-faceted album. We surely will not work like this again, the procedure was just too stressful. But for this time around it was precisely the right way. And through this experience we have been able to learn a lot for our next album."

Ian Caple, one of the album producers:
"This situation, where we are working with several producers, is very inspiring. I seldom get to meet other producers, because we normally work alone. Now I have a chance to discuss things with the others, and we feel that we are a team. There are many producers involved, and one could possibly fear that the result becomes too diverse, but I think that the album will show cohesion. This process enables us to bring out different personalities, and that's positive. I think the album will be stronger; actually much stronger for this process."

"It is very rare that an album is being created this way."
